This family-friendly event brings together organizations who share a concern for the future of our food system and environmental sustainability. Displays explain the importance of maintaining biodiversity by seed saving heirloom varieties, a free seed exchange table, a seed-based craft, a seed vendor, and more, all are of interest to the first time gardener and the expert seed saver.
Presentation at 2:00 pm will focus on the importance of pollinators to our food supply.

Bees Matter, 2 pm
Cory Sheffield, a leading researcher in native bee species will talk about the importance of pollination and attracting beneficial insects to our gardens. Get your hands dirty and make seed balls, a fun interactive way to sow seeds for those pollinators!
