A very successful tree planting at the Community Orchard

The Indian Head Grade 5/6 Class planted 102 Mongolian Cherries, 28 Okanese Poplars, and 2 Saskatoon bushes in our Community Orchard on May 25th, 2018.

SaskTel donated hip, foldable water bottles to keep the workers hydrated and when done, the carabiner clipped to their clothing to ensure it was handy for another sip! They were treated to 5 samples of jelly made from fruit of the orchard.

Thanks to Communities in Bloom, SaskTel, the 29 students and teacher, and the 10 volunteers who joined us on this very successful Arbor Day.

Don’t forget to check out this new planting and keep an eye on what is coming into season at our Community Orchard.  Maps are available at the Town Office.
